Public house, C18 with alterations of early C19 and c.1970. 2-storey main range of 3 bays, with small original single-storey set-forward wings to right and left. Red brick with randon burnt headers; a band at 1st floor. Hipped plaintiled roofs, with axial C18 chimneys of red brick. Early C19 small-pane sashes in earlier openings; those at ground storey have segmental arched heads of brick and flush frames,and thode above have flat heads and cased frames. Two C18/C19 entrance doorways have C20 half-glazed panelled doors. Although only the facade of the main block is of brick, the remainder being of plastered studwork, the primary-braced studwork exposed in the bars suggests C18 work throughout. Extensive single-storey additions of c.1970 to right and left.
