Details

CORFE CASTLE WOOLGARSTON SY 98 SE 3/194 Little Woolgarston Cottage 20.11.59 - II Detached cottage. Mid-late C17. Rubble stone walls, thatched roof, brick end stacks. One storey and attic. Ledged door under hipped thatched hood on shaped timber jambs. Ground floor has 4 casements with glazing bars. Attic has 2 dormers with similar casements. One small window under eaves. C20 extensions on left, with weatherboarded walls and shingled roofs. Internally, both main ground floor rooms have large open fireplaces with timber lintols. Some exposed chamfered ceiling beams. Roof structure appears original. (RCHM, Monument 137. Dorset. Vol. II).
