STANHOPE FRONT STREET NZ 0236 (South side, off) Frosterley 40/199 Parish hall of Church of St. Michael GV II
Chapel of ease, now part of Parish hall. Circa 1830 at expense of Rev. W.N. Darnell. Thin courses of sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, quoins and plinth coping; stone-flagged roof. One storey, 3 bays. South elevation: 3 lancets under prominent dripmoulds; roof has left end chimney. Moulded surround to round window in right return gable peak. Entrance on north elevation obscured by additions, which are not of special interest.
