Farmhouse: Late C16 with C19 exterior. Original timber frame hidden or replaced by white-washed, rendered, sandstone rubble walls with imitation timber framing painted on. Kerridge stone-slate roof and 2 gable brick chimneys. Slightly asymmetrical front of 2 storeys and 3 bays with horned sash windows without glazing bars in plain reveals. Plain stone doorcase with repaired, moulded 4-panelled door. Ends of large purlins and ridge exposed in right gable. A similar, small extension joins house to barn at left and there is a C18 addition to rear. Interior: Very little survives of original timber frame. The 3 tie beams (one slightly cambered) have clusters of 4 bead moulds at the lower corners. Roof trusses have short diagonal struts to through purlins. Some early C18 4-board doors.
