19/225 (inset) Former house and byre, with loose boxes, south of Ludwell Farmhouse barn GV II
Former house and byre, now all one byre, and loose boxes. Late C17 house and byre; early C19 loose boxes. Roughly-coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and ashlar dressings; stone-flagged roofs except for one loose box with corrugated iron roof. L-plan. 2-storey, 5-bay house and byre has chamfered alternate- block jambs under rough stone lintel to empty doorway in second bay; stone surround to loft doorway above; empty windows of one, 2 or 3 lights, all with chamfered stone surrounds, mullions removed and one blocked. Hinge pins to most openings. Left wing breaking forward has one low storey, 3 bays. Left return has flat stone lintels over door and 2 windows in gable of 2-storey part; 3 cast-iron Dutch doors under flat stone lintels to loose boxes.
