2. C18 or earlier; building of timber-framed construction with square panels of timber-framing visible in east gable end. 2-storeys and attic. Modern tile gabled roof. Front plastered, colourwashed. 4 modern sash windows above with glazing bars. 2 modern plate-glass shop fronts on ground floor with sloping fascias over. One small attic window in west wall in western gable end. Small timber-framed 2-storey north-south wing behind.

Nos 47 to 55 (odd) and 70 to 84 (even) with all the listed buildings in Palmerston Street form a group.
