STANHOPE WESTERNHOPE MOOR NY 93 SW NY 920345 27/294 Westernhope Old (Lead) Mine dressing floor on south bank of West Grain GV II
Lead mine dressing floor. Probably C18. Sandstone rubble in dry construction, and pavement of large flags. Low wall about 10 metres long, with 2-metre-wide pavement alongside.
Historical note: Westernhope lead mines were worked for the Blackett family between the early C18 and 1861.
