GV II Substantial house. Possibly late C17 and early C19 with later additions and alterations. Random rubble, entrance front pebbledashed and garden front stuccoed; Welsh slate roofs. 2 parallel ranges with short east extension. Older entrance front remodelled in late C19: 3 storeys, 3 bays and cross-gabled right bay; with 2-bay left extension. One-storey porch with delicate cast-iron balustrade above. All windows inserted in late C19. 3 central upper windows are half dormers. High- pitched roof; truncated gable stacks. Early C19 garden front: 2 storeys, 5 bays; 4-panel double door, with patterned fanlight, in open-pedimented Roman Doric doorcase. 2-pane sashes with raised sills and wedge lintels. Moulded eaves cornice and low coped parapet at gables with kneelers and ball finials. High-pitched roof; truncated gable stacks. Lower right extension has renewed openings. Interior shows spacious open-well early C19 staircase with square balusters, wreathed handrail and shaped tread ends. Good woodwork includes 6-panel doors, reeded door and window architraves with leafy angle pateral, and panelled shutters. Some early C19 enriched plaster cornices and 2 lozenge panels of high-relief plasterwork, possibly C17, which may be resited.
