Garden walls, terrace and gazebo. Late C17. Brick in Flemish garden wall bond.
Along road side immediately S of house 20m long terrace of 1m high retaining wall
to 2m wide terrace and 3m high garden wall connected to gazebo at far end of
terrace, then garden wall runs at right angles for 30m at 2m high before turning
another right angle to run back towards the house at 3m height, joining a range
of outbuildings, to enclose the garden. On terrace garden, wall has plain rect-
angular buttresses every 5m. Gazebo has arched entrance facing terrace. The
arch has moulded border, resting on pilasters with moulded caps and bases. Side
has a wall ramping up from retaining wall. Side wall slopes down with tiled roof
behind it and has blue headers. Inside there is a vaulted chamber.
