Farmhouse, with byres and lofts adjoining. Lintel dated 1766-for I.W. Roughly- coursed and squared sandstone with quoins; byres and lofts are rubble sandstone; stone-flagged roofs except for renewed roof on central lower bay. Linear plan.
House has 2 storeys, 2 wide bays and lower 2-storey one-bay part at right. Byres and lofts have 2 storeys, 2 wide bays. One-storey, one-bay pent left extension. 6 bays in all. Boarded vehicle doors in pent extension, with pigeon holes in peak. House has 2-panelled door at left of lower section in plain stone surround with inscribed lintel. Flat-fronted mullions, splayed on inside, to 3-light windows in first 2 bays and to window of 3 over 3 lights to right of door. Farmbuildings at right have 2 boarded doors with one small square window on ground floor; side stone steps, the right flight wider, rising from right to left, to boarded loft doors, all under stone lintels. Rear has stair window of 3 over 3 lights, of which 2 over 2 belong to the stair well; the third has vertical diagonally-set iron bars; projecting bow-shaped oven to left of this window; catslide roof over stair wing.
Interior: lower 2-storey section, possibly a hall with floor inserted, has side stone steps at rear. Main room to left of door has heck-post. Rear stair is close-string with splat balusters cut to imitate twists. Doors with 4 fielded panels to both rooms and cupboards.
