Detached house. Early - mid C17, altered late C18. Coursed rubble with freestone dressings; slate roof with coped raised verges and behind a coped ashlar parapet and a coved cornice; ashlar and restored stacks. 2 storeys and attics in 4 dormers. The south-west elevation is of two periods (see the straight joint): 4 windows on ground floor and 7 on first, all glazing bar sash windows in plain surrounds (the ground floor windows have 6 panes over 9). Central 6-panel door in plain surround and under flat stone hood on brackets. Rear wing of 2 bays: one first floor window has a moulded architrave and cornice. Interior: rear room of rear wing has a large ashlar fireplace in an ogee and ovolo moulded surround, part of the 4-centred head and a moulded mantelshelf survive.
