Details
BAMBURGH CHURCH STREET NU 1734 (North side) 17/36 - +amburgh Hall 22.12.69 GV II House. C17 and C18, refronted early C19. Mid C19 wing to rear. Ashlar facade, random rubble elsewhere. Welsh slate roof. Double span with later wing projecting to rear. 2 storeys plus attics, 4 bays; with single-storey, one-bay addition on right. In 3rd bay, panelled door and overlight with radial glazing bars. 16-pane sashes. Broad bands above and below let floor. Steeply-pitched gabled roof with end stacks. Rear span in large, rougher masonry has large external stack on right return. Interior has early C18 staircase with turned balusters, moulded and ramped handrail, panelled newels and closed string. 6-panel doors and shutters.
