Details
BURY ROAD 1. 5232 (south side) No 77 (Bury Lodge) (formerly listed as No 67 (Bury Lodge)) SZ 6099 NW 6/21 27.5.53 II 2. Late C18. Two-storeys and attic, yellow stock brick, central pediment, dentil cornice with moulded wooden boxing in cornice-form carried over pediment. Hipped old tile roof. A symmetrical front with 2 wide dormer windows. Two large 3-light windows on first floor flanking tall central glazed door with narrow, side glazing opening on to flat of portico under. Two similar windows on ground floor and 6-panelled central double door with narrow side lights and radiating fanlight, all recessed in segmental arched openings with panelled reveals. The doorway is under a wide Greek Doric portico with columns, pilasters and entablature. Symmetrical early C19 extensions on either side, 2-storeys, similar brick, stone coping and old tile roof. Each extension one bay.
