2. Almshouses founded by Richard Huish, who died in 1615, "for 13 poor, needy, maimed, impotent and aged men". Rebuilt in second half of C19. Long front to street with right end coming forward. 2 storeys. Coursed rubble with mm Hill stone dressings. Slate roof with ridge cresting. 2 gables to right, 1 with hipped roof and gabled dormer, the other with ½ hipped roof. Finials. 4 windows to left on 1st floor rising with gablets into roof, 2 lights each with stone mullion. 6 ground floor windows in arched recesses and with impost string course. Traceried windows with triple lancets. Section coming forward on right has variety of 2 and 3-light stone mullioned windows. Entrance up 4 steps pith moulded pointed archway. Double wooden doors. Slightly lower extension without windows to left. 2-centred archway adjoining with gable finial and pinnacles. Double wooden doors.
