WOLSINGHAM LEAZES LANE NZ 04 SE (North end, off) Wolsingham 13/378 Tunstall House Farmhouse, cottages and II
Linear farm. Early C19. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins; roofs of stone flags; corrugated asbestos roof on left extension. 2 storeys; 5 buildings of 4,3,2,3, and 2 bays; 14 in all. Left one-bay one-storey extension, of unknown use, is without openings. 4-bay cow-house has 3 Dutch doors under flat stone lintels; 2 ground-floor openings, one glazed; flat stone lintel over passage entry at extreme right; 3 loft openings, 2 boarded and one hit-and-miss. 3-bay house adjoining has flat stone lintels to central boarded door and to renewed plain sashes with slightly projecting stone sills. Lower 2-bay house adjoining has similar door at left, and 12-pane sash with flat stone lintel at right. 3- and 2-bay parts further right are one house of 2 builds, the first continuous with the previously-described 2-bay section and sharing a roof with it. This build has a boarded door to left of centre and windows either side with horizontal glazing bars, all with flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Higher right end build has round step to boarded door at left, 12-pane sash above, and 16-pane sashes in right bay, all in tooled raised stone surrounds; pecked quoins. Roofs have end chimneys on each house.
