GV II

Inn, now public house. Mid C18 with alterations. Painted incised stucco with plinth; left return gable of taller part is of coursed squared sandstone; rear wing sandstone rubble with some rendering; ashlar dressings. Roof of Welsh slate with stone gable coping and ashlar and yellow brick or rendered chimneys. Z-plan. 2-storey, 2-bay left part; higher projecting right part has 3 storeys and 2 bays, the second projecting. Lower rear left wing. One-storey, one-bay extruded entrance porch has late C19 sash to front; renewed door in left return. Tripartite sashes in first bay, late C19 sash over porch, and late C19 sash in 3-storey part have raised stone surrounds; first bay of 3-storey part has paired ground-floor sashes with flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Roof has slightly swept eaves over 2-storey part with left end chimney of brick on ashlar plinth. Roof of 3-storey part has left gable coping with curved kneeler; hipped roof over projecting right bay; 2 end rendered chimneys.
