House. Early C17 with early to mid C19 alterations. Timberframed range refronted in brick with rendered front in C19. RH gable tile hung. Plain tiled roof with decorative crested ridge tiles to main range. C19 brick gable end stack to RH gable. Two storeys. Two window front to main range with mid C19 or similar replacement C20 sashes on both floors with 2 vertical glazing bars to each sash. Former entrance doorway between ground floor sashes now infilled. C20 single storey porch added to RH gable end. Interior has exposed C17 timberframing, exposed beams with stop chamfers. Bear House, an addition of 1929 and later to left not of special interest.

Plain tiled roof with decorative crested ridge tiles to main range. C19 brick gable end stack to RH gable. Two storeys. Two window front to main range with mid C19 or similar replacement C20 sashes on both floors with 2 vertical glazing bars to each sash. Former entrance doorway between ground floor sashes now infilled. C20 single storey porch added to RH gable end. Interior has C17 timberfiaming, exposed beams with stop chamfers. The adjoining Bear House was probably added in the mid C19 9 as no framing is visible and owing to its alterations is not ofspecial interest.

The list entry was previously amended on 14June 1994, by virtue of the 31st amendment of the 38th list.

House now converted to two dwellings with rear and side extensions; Frog House to right and Bear House to left. Bear House formerly listed as Sunnyside. Early C17 with early to mid C19 alterations, late C20 alterations and extensions. C17 timber framed range rewalled externally in brick with rendered front in C19. RH gable tile hung. Plain tiled roof with decorative crested ridge tiles to main range. C19 brick gable end stack to RH gable, the former gable end stack to left now demolished. Two storeys. Three window front to main range with mid C19 or similar replacement C20 on both floors with two vertical glazing bars in each sash. Former entrance doorway between second and third sashes front left is now infilled. Frog House now entered under late C20 single storey porch added to RH gable end. Bear House entered from C20 open porch in angle of LH gable end and C20 rear extension. Frog House occupies two thirds of C17 main range. Interior has exposed Cl? timber framing, exposed beams with stopped chamfers. Bear House not inspected internally but included as integral part of original range. C20 extensions to rear and sides of both dwellings are not of special interest.
