Details
STRETTON UNDER FOSSE MAIN STREET SP 48 SE (south side) 3/76 - Malt Kiln Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Early C18. Timber-framed, rendered with old slate roof and brick stacks to ridge. 2 storeys; 3-window range facing left. C18 plank door to right within moulded wood surround, and C19 pentice above. C19 part-glazed door within timber porch to left. Two C20 bow windows to ground storey, of main range, with one C20 casement to wing returning to right. C20 casements to first storey. Plinth. Interior: heavily moulded beams to ground storey, and open fireplace with reset C17 panelling. C18 doors and C18 cupboard. Said to have original roof timbers.
