1. SILVER STREET 5365 (East Side ) Baptist Church ST 2224 SW 14/349

2. 1814, but with a facade of 1870 by J H Smith. Italian Trecento style. 2 storeys. Stucco. Gable parapet has enriched cornice with wrought-iron finial. This parapet is corbelled out on brackets. 3 round headed blind arches with paterae containing traceried oculi are grouped in echelon. Short 3/4 columns and crocket capitals. Deep string course over lst floor. Corner pilasters with brackets and nook shafts with capitals to 1st floor, rusticated to ground floor. 5 windows, centre section of 3 windows coming forward slightly with nook shafts as before, round heads, keystones, paterae, crocket capitals and panelled imposts. Italianate tracery, diamond leaded lights. Deep string course over ground floor. 3 doorways in centre with detail as before, double 3-panel doors to each.
Baptist Church, gatepiers and walls to forecourt, and Nos 2a to 29 (odd) Silver Street form a group.
