Public house and attached outbuilding, formerly mill, with former shop. Pub mid C18,altered;outbuilding late, C18 early C19 altered with early-mid C19 extension. Pub of painted brick, the front clad in mathematical tile in Flemish bond; plain tile roof. Outbuilding of red brick with blue headers in Flemish bond, rendered at front, with right return partly hung with Welsh slate; addition of red brick in Flemish bond variant (2 stretches, 1 header) pebble-dashed at front; Welsh slate roofs. Pub 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays. Outbuilding, attached to left of 2 storeys with attic, 5 bays, the left bay an addition, shallower at rear, projec- ting forward as gabled wing at front. Pub: entrance to right of centre: C20 small-paned glazed door in architrave having pilasters with plinths and capitals, frieze and cornice; 12-pane sash above; 12-pane sashes to outer bays apart from 16-pane sash to 1st floor left, all windows in reveals. External end stacks to front roof pitch; another stack at right end in rear roof pitch. Outbuilding: is attached to Pub by mid-C20 link block which is not of special interest. Left-hand bay has shop front; one window to each floor; right corner canted with a ground-floor and lst-floor window; all openings boarded up; coped parapet. Main range has a C20 garage door and C20 double door flanking on horned 12-pane sash; and on 1st floor a boarded-up window, a 12-pane sash, the Pub sign-board and a 4-pane sash. Attic has 3 boarded-up, hipped-roof dormers with Welsh slate cheeks, Roof hipped at left end. Two ridge stacks and one to rear left. Rear: extensive C20 additions not of special interest. Outbuilding retains a board door on left and 2 original lst-floor window openings, all having flat brick arches; 3 dormers as front. Returns of Pub each have a 3-light small-pane gable window and right return a small ground-floor window either side of external stack. Interior: outbuilding has wooden sprial stair and 2-light 12-pane wooden casements to the attic dormers. Ground floor of Pub remodelled. C20; 1st floor not inspected.
