2. Appley Towers, marked Appley Hall on the maps, has been demolished. Early C19 lodge on T plan. One storey and attic, red brick with rendered rusti- cated quoins. Tiled gable end roofs with bands of scalloped tiles. Shaped gables with rendered copings and spiked ball finials. Neo Jacobean - Dutch style with grouped chimneys. Bull's eye with keystones in gables. Rendered bays of 3 lights on brick bases to North and South; casements with glazing bars and strap-work decoration in parapet. Two light casements in rusti- cated architraves to side walls. Lower gable end roofed addition to East with bargeboards.
