Nos 2 and 3, Blossom Cottage and The Delves

House, now subdivided into 2 dwellings. C16 with C18 alterations
and C19 additions. Timber framed, rendered, red clay-tile roof,
red brick stacks. Slate-roofed lean-to extensions. 2 storeys, 4
bays with central stack bay, later end stacks. Lobby entry, now
blocked. Continuous jetty to street front, now underbuilt. Lean-
to outshut to centre of rear. C19 lean-to extensions to rear and
end (3) to left street elevation has 2 C18 6-panel doors under
rustic porches flanking original entry. C18 3-light timber
casements (3) to left. C20 timber casements (2) to right. Frame,
largely exposed inside, has jowled storey posts, posts with
moulded capitals, arched braces, trenched downbraces. 1st floor
jetty posts jowled with jowled feet. Crown-post roof with
longitudinal arched braces. Chamfered bridging joists with
stepped stops. Joists with soffit tenons and diminished haunches.
Frame (2) to right is incomplete and some timbers are C20
replacements. Interior (2) to right has panelled fireback to
central stack. C18 corner cupboard with shaped shelves and H
hinges in corner of main ground floor room. Interior (3) to left
has herringbone brick flooring, C18 doors and cupboards. Remains
of 4 first-floor windows with mortices for diamond mullions.
