SK 45 NE KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD CHAPEL STREET (north side) Stable range 20 M. east of 3/27 No 20 (formerly listed as Stable range to East of 20/3/81 Barn and adjoining No 20 Chapel St Farmhouse) G.V. II Stables, now garages. Late C18 and mid C19. Coursed and squared rubble and brick with pantile roofs and stone slab verge. Single external gable stack. Single storey, 5 unequal bays. Openings have mainly stone lintels. West side has to left, stable door flanked by single slatted casements. To right, a stable door and C20 garage door. Beyond, garage door flanked by single slatted casements. To right again, a stable door. South gable has, above blocked square opening.
