Early C19. Two houses built as a single block. Stuccoed facade with wide eaves and slate roof three storeys and basement. Eight windows in all, sashes and French casements with glazing bars to first floor, Venetian shutters to the windows and tented balcony with iron pillars and railings continues to recessed side porches.
Main, four windowed, section flanked by two storey one bay sections to east and west with porches. Outer, two storeys, two windowed wing on eastern side only.
Nos 1 to 6 (consec) form an important group at the top of the hill and at this entrance into Lymington. This group is associated with the listed buildings on Stanford Hill and on Priestland Place.
