II
Church. 1876 designed by William White. Built of Kentish ragstone with sandstone plate-traceried
windows and tiled roofs. Nave with north aisle, lower chancel, south porch and west tower. Three
bay nave has 2 plate tracery windows and sexfoil over elaborate south porch. North side has
clerestorey of squat plate tracery windows and north aisle has double trefoil lancets. Chancel has one
plate-traceried window and east window of3 triple lancets and sexfoil above. Three stage west tower
has corbelled parapet, three arches to bell stage with wooden louvres and semi-circular stair turret
to south. Interior features include arcade to north aisle with squat circular columns with stiffleaf
capitals, boarded trussed roofs with carved angels to chancel roof and geometric patterned tiles.
