Detached farmhouse, formerly 2 properties. C17. Ham stone near-ashlar; some coursed rubble; double Roman clay tiled roofs between coped gables; stone slab chimney stacks, one with traditional baffle. Two storeys with attics, 2 plus 2 bays, the western half set lower. Hollow-chamfer mullioned windows to bay-4, 3-light above and 4-light below, with labels: to upper bays 1 and 2 are 3-light casements of an older pattern, the lower windows obscured by vegetation; to west gable a small stair light at lower level and 2-light mullioned window with label above. Further mullioned windows and main entrance to rear. Interior not seen. Extending from south-west corner of house, and marking whole front boundary; a wall in coursed rubble about 2.5 metres tall, with thin coping; in the centre a cambered arched gateway with studded boarded gate, up three steps, of which the two lower are segmental; the whole adding both to the setting of the house and to the streetscene.
