14/10003 Barn approx 30 metres north-east of Hesworth Farmhouse
GV II
Barn, now workroom and cartshed. Late C17 or early C18 barn restored C20 with late C18 or early C19 cartshed attached to east. Barn timber framed clad in weatherboarding with hipped tiled roof and pentice to west. Central cart entrance. South end has C20 windows and door. Interior has 3 bays and aisle to west. Jowled posts with cut profile, 3 posts rough hewn timbers. Some diagonal and some curved tension braces. Angled queen post roof with through purlins. Rafters intact and no ridgepiece. C20 floor inserted to south. Adjoining to east is late C18 or early C19 open cartshed with stone and brick wall to rear. Posts have cut profile and are on padstones. Roofs have angled queen struts and ridgepiece.
