Details
TQ 2980 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER RUPERT STREET, Wl 71/65 No. 28 (The Blue Posts Public House) G.V. II Public house. Probably early C.18 origin, refaced and altered c.1850 as public house. Stucco with painted brick top floor. 4 storeys. 3 windows wide with entrance to Rupert Court through ground and 1st floors to right. The public house doors and windows are framed in ground floor arcade returned to Rupert Court. 1st floor has a single, broad, recessed bay window with sash lights. 2nd floor has 3 recessed sashes with cornices over. The painted brick 3rd floor has windows in stucco surrounds. The 2nd floor is channelled above the plat band and finished off with a modillion cornice whilst the 3rd floor has stucco quoins with dentil crowning cornice and parapet over.
