House. Late C17, altered early C19, with mid C19 addition.
Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings. Gabled and hipped
slate roof with brick ridge and gable stacks. Stone plinth,
quoins. 2 storeys; 3 window range, arranged 1 : 2. T-plan.
Windows mainly have C17 stone surrounds, those to the ground
floor slightly larger, with cornices. Most are reglazed, some
with Gothick glazing bars. Street front, to south, has to
right, a set back wing with a 12-pane sash, flanked to left by
a single light Gothick sash. Below, under a common cornice, an
off-centre ashlar Tudor arched doorway with panelled door,
flanked to right by a 2-light Gothick sash and to left by a
similar single sash.
To left, a wing with 4-light window on each floor, with
chamfered stone mullions. In the return angle, a 2-light
casement and below, a double sash, both with Gothick glazing
bars.
Left return has on the ground floor a central 5-light window
with chamfered stone mullions, flanked to right by a blocked
single light C17 window. To left, and above, various C19
windows.
