OZLEWORTH OZLEWORTH HAMLET ST 79 SE 5/149 The Old Rectory II

Detached house. Front range probably early C18, enlarged twice probably in late C18 and again in early C19. Rubble stone with large irregular flush quoins, slate roof, stone end stacks with twin flues, offset and moulded cornice. Rear wing to right has stone slate roof and brick end stack, rear wing to left is roughcast faced (and across whole of rear) and has slate roof with brick end stack. Front range of 2 storeys and attic, with 2 parallel rear wings of 2 storeys linked together in centre with flat section and with small porch bay of C20. South front has five 12-pane sashes in cemented reveals, with timber lintels to first floor, concrete lintels to ground floor and central C20 glazed door. Three hipped dormers with paired leaded casements. Casements to right hand return rear wing, sashes to left hand return of main range and to rear section. Interior has chamfered and stopped beams to early range and large timber bressumer fireplace in south west on ground floor, most original joinery, stick baluster stair with carved string and large early C19 twelve- pane with margin glazing on stairway on north side.
