PLESHEY THE STREET (south-east side) Old Post House (Formerly listed as Post Office) 29.12.52.

GV II A timber-framed and plastered house of C17 origin. Refronted in the C18 and renovated in the C20. The front has roughcast in panels. Two storeys. Five window range, the first storey has three light casements with leaded lights and the ground storey has double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The doorway has a wood doorcase with narrow panelled pilasters and a dentilled cornice on brackets. Roof tiled, hipped on the south-west end. (RCHM 5).

Old Post House, Parsonage Cottage and House of Retreat with Old White Horse, 1 and 2 White Horse Cottages, St Michaels Cottages, Vale House, The Folly, Rose Cottage, Butlers and House and Mount Stores form a group
