A timber-framed and plastered house, probably C17, altered in the C18 and
later and renovated in the C20. At the north and south ends the upper storey
breaks forward slightly and projects. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range,
double- hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. The central
window is a 3-light bay. The ground storey has early C19 shop fronts (renovated)
with glazing bars and fluted pilasters. A moulded fascia unites the ground
storey. A 2 storey wing with a parapet and a blank panelled upper storey
with pilasters extends on the south. Roofs tiled, with 3 flat headed dormers.
Nos 5 to 13 (odd), No 13A, Nos 15 to 33 (odd), No 33A and Nos 35 to 39 (odd)
form a group.
