GV II Farmhouse, now a house. Early C18, raised c1800 and remodelled
1851, with late C20 alterations. Brick with ashlar dressings
and pantile roofs. Off centre brick ridge stack and similar
corbelled gable stacks. Coped gables, with kneelers with ball
finials. 2 storeys; 4 window range, arranged 1 : 3. Windows
are mainly cross casements with chamfered stone mullions and
surrounds. Main block, to right, has a central 2-light window
flanked by 3-light windows. Below, a porch with shaped gable
and finials and a round arched doorway, covering a half-glazed
door. In the gable, a datestone. Beyond, larger 3-light
windows. Service block, to left, has a 3-light window, and to
its right a recessed square panel with monogram. Below, a
3-light window to left, and an elliptical arched door to
right, with a small overlight and label mould. Board door with
strap hinges. To left, a gabled rear wing with a coped side
wall stack, and a single storey lean-to. An estate farmhouse,
remodelled by the Brownlow family of Belton House.
