2. Late C18 refronting of C17 building. A deed of 1727 refers to this building as the Golden Lyon House. 3 storeys and dormer. 2 windows. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Timber-framed, plastered front with coved eaves cornice. Segmental-headed, sash dormer. Architraved sash windows with glazing bars. Ground floor loggia over pavement carried by granite Tuscan columns. Modern shopfront. (M. Laithwaite).
