OUSDEN OUSDEN TL75NW 3/10011 Clock Tower to south of Oaken House
GV II
Clock tower. Mid C19. Red brick with parapeted lead pyramidal roof and wooden open lantern with weathervane. Square plan. 3 storeys. Doors on ground and 1st floor. On 2nd floor there are recessed brick panels with small central circular windows on 3 sides and a panel for a clock-face on the fourth. This clock tower is the remaining part of Ousden Hall which was a C18 and C19 house and was demolished in 1959. It forms a group with the hall stables (qv), now Ousden House, the Church of St Peter (qv) and the Dovecote (qv).
