3/91 Watermill 10yds from 22/7/53 The Mill House
II*
Watermill. Mid C18 extended in C19 and restored in C20. Whitewashed brick below, weatherboard above; plain tiled roofs with curved bargeboards, slate roof to centre. Main mill building 3 storeys connected by 2 storey gallery over the stream to smaller building to the right;both gable fronted. Casement windows throughout, building to left with 2 windows across the ground and first floor, one on each floor above; brick edged roundel to centre of first floor. Central camber head door in moulded brick surround under bargeboard slate porch hood with further plank door to right hand return front. Left hand return front has two arched casement windows to first and second floors with arched head glazing bars, and C19 timber frame extensions to rear. Smaller building to right of main front; two windows to first floor, central first floor plank door, up a flight of wooden steps, under scalloped flat porch hood, double plank door to ground floor left.
