TQ 05NW BOROUGH OF WOKING OLD WOKING ROAD

6/99 No. 173 (Littlecour 29/4/80 GV II* House. 1902 by C.A. Voysey. Roughcast, stone dressings, large hipped plain tiled roof with roughcast ridge stacks to left end, right of centre and stack to rear. 2 storeys with drip moulding across the ground floor; stone dressed mullion and transome leaded casements throughout. Asymmetrical front, the salient features include projecting gabled bay to right with battered buttresses and large window. Range to left with six windows across the first floor including staircase window to left of centre and circular window over the door. Half glazed door in arched porch recess between buttresses; projecting arched hood on corbels over. Single storey kitchen to right end with service court to rear. Rear elevation has plank and part glazed door to right in similar porch recess.

Interior: Stone flooring, stripped panelling throughout; staircase to left being square newel type with thin planking. Original door furniture and bird and flower ventilation grilles survive.
