House. 2 C17 bays to right with early C18 bay to left and later lean-to at left
end. Altered fenestration. Coursed ironstone rubble. Right bays have
Collyweston slate roof; left bay has Welsh slate roof replacing thatch. Coped
gables. Double chimney between left bays, single chimney to right, both with
stone bases and brick shafts. 1 1/2 storeys. Left bay has 3-light wooden casements
with wooden lintels, and door to left in Uppingham stone surround with chamfered
jambs. Right bays have 2-light wooden casements, that to ground floor left older
and transomed, both ground floor windows with Uppingham stone lintels, the upper
windows in raking semi-dormers. All casements have horizontal glazing bars.
Small window with chamfered stone surround in lean-to, C20 door in raised stone
surround in right gable. Interior: centre bay has stop-chamfered spine beam with
moulded bracket at one end, and C19 moulded cornice to fireplace; chamfered
ceiling beams in outer bays, the left bay with chamfered cambered lintel to
fireplace.
