4/45 Vine Garden Cottage and walls attached

GV II

House and walls. C18. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys and basement with hipped roof and stacks to rear. Two segmental headed glazing bar sashes on each floor and door of 6 panels to left, the top 2 panels glazed, in pilaster surround with 3 steps and chain rails. Basement opening to right of door. Lower 2 storey range to right with 2 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 1 on ground floor, with a kneelered parapet gable on right return. Courtyard wall extends from the house about 50 metres to west along roadside. Largely English Bond on flint base, and C17 in origin, but repaired and extended at the west end especially by C19 brick, and terminated by swept gate way with stone capped piers. To left (east) of house is a 1 storey extension with a panelled door, and beyond that a 6 feet high wall about 15 metres long, of red brick on stone base, with a boarded door.
