Details

STOKE DRY SP 89 NE 4/141 Stoke Dry Manor. GV II

House. Circa 1800 L-plan building with late C19 extension in rear angle and C20 extension to far end; ashlar front, remainder rubble, original part with Collyweston slate roof, extension with Welsh slates. Front range has flanking ashlar chimneys with cyma recta cornices, left chimney with additional brick flue. 2 storeys, cellar and attic. 3 bay front with raised sill and lintel bands. 3-pane sash windows in raised stone surrounds, those to ground floor with keyblocks; cellar window to left; 2 hipped dormers with paired wooden casements. Right side has irregular C19 sashes and 4-panelled door with rectangular fanlight Fanlight has criss-cross glazing bars. Left side has 2 arched sashes to gable end of original house, and late C19 bay with canted bay window, first floor sashes, and half-glazed door with fanlight. Single-storey extension beyond. Interior: ground floor room at N end of front wing has segmental-headed recesses flanking fireplace.
