Barn. Late C17 or early C18, early C19 alterations. Timber frame with weatherboard cladding. Half hipped corrugated asbestos roof with catslide over aisle on north side. Four bays with single aisle. Evidence of former outshut at west end. Threshing bay with a single storage bay to east and two storage bays to west. Opposing wagon doorways. South doorway has a lowered head and a pair of boarded doors. Early C19 wagon porch built over entry on the north (aisle) side. Jowelled aisle and wall posts; posts between first and second bays to west replaced in early C19. Intermediate rails in south and east walls with evidence of upper triscon braces to posts in south wall and surviving tension braces to posts in the east wall. Unless renewed with additional studs, three studs in each bay panel. roof framing above principal beams renewed in early C19: single side purlins and collar ties, rafters of slight scanting. Listed for group value with adjoining coach house (qv) and farmhouse to west listed ass The Vines (qv).
