Nos.3 AND 3A) II Former service wing to Nos 1A, 2, 2A and 2B East Street (qv),
now converted to 4 residential units. C18, altered C19 and
early 1980s. Red brick, with north bay rebuilt in yellow
brick, cornice band, parapet with stone coping, old tiled
roof. 2 outer dormers with segmental lead roofs, 2 inner
dormers with gabled tiled roofs, all with casement windows
lead-glazed with rectangular quarries, and rebuilt in 1980s
conversion. 3 rebuilt red brick chimneystacks.
6 first floor windows irregularly spaced across facade,
extreme left hand window remains in rear of No.2 East Street
(qv), all recessed sash windows with glazing bars, under
segmental arches, and are 1980s replacements. Ground floor
stucco-faced below brick plat band, with 4 sash windows with
glazing bars, under segmental arches, and modern four 6-panel
doors, recessed with plain fanlights above, all installed in
1980s conversion. This long narrow range, one room deep, was
originally constructed by the Dickinsons as a service wing to
their main house fronting East Street. The rear elevation
faces Bluecoat Yard.
