2. Church of England. This is one of the 3 Ouse valley churches with a C12 circular tower (see also Southease). Chancel with north and south chapels, nave with aisles and west tower with octagonal shingled spire. The north arcade of the nave and the tower C12; chancel, north aisle and south arcade of early C13; south aisle and north and south chapels rebuilt in 1882-4, when the whole church was restored (Architect Philip Currey).
