Barn or stables, with dovecote, now separate flat. C18 Local stone rubble with brickwork dressings; plain clay tile
roof with timbered gables, one section with stone slate base courses; brick chimney stacks. Single storey with attic, 4
bays. Small pane casement windows and plain boarded doors, the window to bay 2 and door to bay 3 having brick segmental
arch; C20 dormers to bays 2, 3 and 4. East gable has 2 semi-circular brick arched doorways; above a former dovecote
with apertures on either side of a central casement window, which has a brick segmental keystoned arch. The Westernmost
bay probably older than the rest of building. Important in setting to Grange (qv). The dovecote had 700 riches. Large
ammonites are built into to the walls, possibly by Revd John Wickham, died 1783, who was a naturalist. (John A Cross, A
