Shop known as Satchell's Off Licence with house to rear, now in 2 occupations. C.1830. Gault brick, slated roofs. 2 bay shop with single storey wing to west, 2 storey house attached to rear. Tripartite shop front has original fixed casement windows, large panes divided by moulded glazing bars with margin light glazing bars at edges. Recessed central 2 leaf doors with glazing bars and margin lights, rectangular fanlight with margin lights. Panelled bases to windows and door. Fluted end pilasters with bases and capitals, moulded cornice. 2 first floor sashes with glazing bars under flat rubbed brick arches, with cast iron sills with pierced Greek key fret decorated edges. Unmoulded brick end pilasters with cast iron bases, deep moulded eaves cornice. Cast iron moulded plinth running round entire house. Hipped end gable roof. Attached at west single storey wing with single sash with glazing bars with cast iron sill under flat rubbed brick arch under semi-circular rubbed brick arch forming a recessed bay, end pier parapet eaves replaced in brick, moulded cast iron plinth. Return to west has two arched bays to south with single sash with glazing bars to north, C20 arched boarded double doors under rubbed brick arch, dividing pilaster, end pier at north, stone coped eaves parapet. House attached at rear forms "L" plan. West entrance of 2 bays at right angles has single ground floor cast iron casements with glazing bars, 2 first floor sashes with glazing bars and in angle brick porch with moulded doorcase architrave and 6 panel door. Cast iron plinth, cast iron sills with Greek key fret piercings. 4 bay garden facade to east has one ground floor sash with glazing bars, 3 first floor cast iron casements with Gothic arched top lights, stained glass triangles in spandrels, cast iron sills. North end pilaster, off axis south pilaster marks end bay of shop, with blank first floor window opening. Roof hipped at north and south with 2 ridge stacks. An example of the cast iron architectural detail of the early C19 Burnham Market foundry.
