2. Early C19 lodge and triumphal arch entrance gate. The lodge to West is a single storey building of coursed rubble with rusticated quoins and plinth. Low pitch gable end stone tile roof, the eaves concealed by parapet with coping. Block string course runs above single casement window of 3 lights with glazing bars, recessed in rusticated ashlar surround. Adjacent to the lodge is a triumphal arch gateway flanked up to the spring of the arch by blind bays of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Cornice and panelled parapet to each crowned by urns and in centre a block supporting a reclining lion. They contain blind round headed niches in architrave surrounds reaching down through plinth to ground level and pedestals intended for statuary, The cornice of the bays is carried on to the piers of the archway, acting as imposts to the springing of the arch. The arch has an ashlar architrave and a keystone running across the soffit and breaking up into frieze and main dentil cornice above. Parapet with flanking piers, recessed panel in centre bearing motto "qui si sana". Above on a block a fine reclining stag.
