BOXTED BOXTED STRAIGHT ROAD 1. 5214 Thrift Cottages (Nos 1 and 2 TL 93 SE 3/101 II 2. Circa 1600 cottages north of the road. A long range divided into 2 tenements, aligned north to south with modern addition along rear wall. Timber framed and plastered with thatched ridge and gable roof having one eyebrow dormer centrally, and a near central red brick chimney. First floor on claims with chamfered bridging-joi and soffit tenoned common joists. Windows include 3 paned sliding sashes and some modern casements, 2 front doors of plain C19 type.
