WIMBISH COLE END 1. 5222 Dovecote to east of Tiptofts (formerly listed as TL 53 NE 12/860 21.2.67 Dovecote of Tiptofts)

2. Red brick square dovecote built in English bond. Probably of C17 origin but either rebuilt to the old pattern or much restored in the C18-C19. Roof tiled, with half hips and small gables. The interior has some 550-600 nesting boxes. It is a typical example of Essex dovecots of this period.
