Norton Hall Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. C17 in origin, C18 and early C19 details. Flint and clunch with brick dressings, black glazed pantiled roofs. 2 2 storey, 2 bay ranges under separate roofs.
Range to south has 2 ground floor sashes with glazing bars under cambered brick heads, 2 first floor 3-light casement cross windows with lead glazing bars, partly within C17 brick rectangular frames. Ground floor 3 blocked early C18 windows with cambered brick arched heads. Brick end quoins, coped parapet gables with 2 end stacks, steeply pitched roof.
Build to north has one ground floor sash with glazing bars, one blocked early C18 window both with cambered brick heads, 2 first floor 3-light casement cross windows with lead-glazing bars. Off-axis late C18 or early C19 wooden porch, segmental on plan, with 2 half-columns, 2 columns, plain frieze and flat roof, 6 panel raised and fielded door with 2 upper panels glazed set in arched panelled reveal with semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars.
