Details
FORDRAM HALSTEAD ROAD 1. 5214 The Shoulder of Mutton Public House (formerly listed as Shoulder of Mutton Inn under Yard Street) TL 92 NW 92/1 25.6.52 GV II C14 and later house on H plan. Of 2 storeys framed in timber and clad with painted weatherboard and plaster and having ridged and gabled roofs pegtiled. All the jetties have been underbuilt and the ground storey rendered. Main chimney stack of red brick behind ridge near to north return. Two hipped dormers on west of hall roof. First storey with 3 sashes with glazing bars and exposed boxes, one to each wing and one to hall. Ground storey with modern casements. Inside much evidence of C14 of heavy frame with jetties to west, bare faced soffit tenons to floor joists, later bolection moulded panelling.
